Wild Night

| October 3, 2014 | Parties National

The Party
The third annual Chicago Arkive Benefit brought together over 100 guests at the Racquet Club of Chicago to raise awareness and funds for wildlife conservation. The fete of cocktails, dinner and animal encounters raised over $107,000.

The Scene
After cocktails, the evening featured a talk by famed animal expert Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Hanna has been featured on Good Morning America and on his local television program, Hanna’s Ark. After Hanna’s enlightening speech, guests enjoyed dinner. “We’re thrilled to help spread the mission of Arkive—a true leader in the global conservancy effort—to people throughout Illinois,” says Cindy Galvin of Winnetka.

The Highlights
Children were invited to the afternoon portion of the benefit to meet animal friends from the Columbus Zoo, including a furry baby cheetah, serval, clouded leopard, penguin, kangaroo, palm civet, sloth and armadillo. All that was missing were the lions, tigers and bears. Oh my! –Photography by
