After-school programs got a boost thanks to the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs gala.
At its 39th annual gala, the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs organization highlighted its deep commitment to helping at-risk youth reach their full potential. The black-tie evening—Imagine the Possibilities—featured a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, an elegant dinner and dancing.
Gala co-chairs Lynne Rinkoski and Timo Rehbock led a team of volunteers in creating an inspiring evening for more than 300 guests. Union League Barreto Boys & Girls Clubs director and alumnus Jeremy Murphy shared his personal journey with the organization, describing firsthand the importance of its mentorship, educational support and recreational activities.
To much applause, the nonprofit revealed its plan to expand afterschool programs in the Englewood neighborhood. In all, the evening raised over $400,000 for the club’s future endeavors—the beginning of endless possibilities. ‒Nicole Ross
