THE PARTY With a theme of Growing Stronger Together, the Evanston Community Foundation raised $335,000 at its fall event at the Evanston Golf Club. “Celebrate!Evanston is the most important party of the year, where friends, neighbors and colleagues gather to celebrate the community’s growth,” says benefit co-chair Judy Kemp. THE PEOPLE News broadcasters (and spouses) Karen Jordan of ABC7 and Christian Farr of NBC5 Chicago emceed the evening, introducing local talents in a musical revue performed by Julie Chernoff, Grayson Heyl, Matthew Hunter and Patrick Keenan-Devlin. THE PINNACLE In honor of retiring ECF President and CEO Sara Schastok, an anonymous donor gifted $100,000 to the foundation. That announcement brought cheers from the crowd at the generous gesture of support and thanks. Here’s to many more years of living in “Hevanston.” –Photos by Jill Brazel
