| April 8, 2016 | Parties National

Writers Theatre had much to celebrate on a snowy February night. Not only was the party the grand unveiling of its new and stunning building, but it also represented the culmination of a capital campaign that raised more than $33 million.

More than 225 guests donned black-tie for the elegant evening of cocktails, dinner and dessert. Board of Trustees President Christopher S. Pfaff, Executive Director Kathryn Lipuma and On to a New Stage co-chair Elaine Tinberg all welcomed and thanked the guests for their part in the theater’s success.

The celebration included a performance conceived and directed by Artistic Director Michael Halberstam, featuring more than 80 Writers Theatre artists, who celebrated past artistic successes and milestone performances while also looking toward the next phase in the company’s artistic life. A well-earned standing ovation for all! -Photography by Robert Carl and Abby McKenna
