Reviving Whimsy

| October 3, 2014 | Parties National

The Party
The Goodman Theater took a leap and brought back Brigadoon, Lerner and Loewe’s whimsical song-and-dance fantasy, after more than three decades. The Broadway show had a short run this summer for Chicagoans to enjoy the 18th century Scottish village.

The Highlights
Opening night festivities followed the performance. Guests, benefactors and Chicago’s theater community toasted the success of director and choreographer Rachel Rockwell, and the company of 28 actors, singers and dancers. Completing the Scottish theme was a rousing march into the reception led by a traditional bagpiper. –Photography by John Reilly Photography
