Fox-trot? Tango? Couples strutted their stuff on the dance floor.
What’s a dinner dance without the Stu Hirsh Orchestra to set the mood?
The lovely tent was filled with partygoers.

Chicago Botanic Garden’s Summer Dinner Dance puts the social season in bloom.
THE PARTY Guests kicked off the soiree in the fragrant Rose Garden Terrace nibbling on steak tartare and sipping a refreshing cocktail of gin, fresh lemon juice, local honey syrup and muddled summer berries. Decor from Kehoe Designs, in the firm’s signature enchanting style, created a romantic yet rustic garden party with bouquets of tulips, hydrangeas and anemones placed on whitewashed wooden tables. Food for Thought’s dinner menu complemented the elegant atmosphere with chilled spring pea and mint soup, mustard-glazed Angus tenderloin and a fresh tart raspberry mille-feuille.
THE PEOPLE The event’s co-chairs, Pim and Brayton Alley, Colleen and Brendan Carroll, and Peyton and Christopher Merrill, celebrated alongside more than 300 other horticulture enthusiasts who relished the flowery views and festive fashion choices.
THE PINNACLE The philanthropy-filled evening concluded with the harmonies of the Stu Hirsh Orchestra, and attendees danced the night away. The evening raised more than $350,000, which will benefit the Garden and its many initiatives, like providing fresh produce to local food deserts.
