Over the Rainbow

| June 30, 2016 | Parties National

THE PARTY Attendees were welcomed to the Hilton Chicago with a cocktail reception followed by dinner and a special performance by both the Chicago Children’s Choir and Keshet’s very own integrated choir. It fit perfectly with the night’s theme of “selfie-esteem”—Keshet participants celebrating how the organization has helped them lead productive and meaningful lives. THE PEOPLE Honorary guests included Cheryl and Carey Cooper, who is CEO at L3 Hospitality Group, which includes special needs-friendly Lyfe Kitchen; Lisa Glenner, founder of Keshet’s GADOL program, which caters to young adults with disabilities; and Ira and Rebecca Fishman, who help run Keshet’s special-needs residence in Highland Park. THE PINNACLE The evening concluded with an exclusive guest performance by Five for Fighting singer-songwriter John Ondrasik. More than $1.1 million was raised to help fund Keshet’s core programs that serve 1,000-plus individuals with disabilities. There is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow! –Photos by Michael Lee
