The Party
The Chicago Botanic Garden hosted a farm dinner in the perfectly appropriate setting of the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden. Guests feasted on fresh fare while learning how the garden grows organically.

The Highlights
The meals were prepared with locally grown ingredients by chef Cleetus Friedman of Fountainhead restaurant, with beer and wine pairings complementing each dish. Jeanne Pinsof Nolan of The Organic Gardener Ltd. treated guests with a talk and signing of her book, From the Ground Up ($26, Spiegel & Grau). –
