THE PARTY The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem at Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals’ 40th annual gala Latin Nights, City Lights! brought a pinch of Latin fever to the Hilton Chicago. THE SCENE Guests sipped on sangria and sampled Latin-inspired bites while bidding on exclusive auction items like golf outings, spa treatments and theater tickets before heading to the Grand Ballroom for a seated dinner. A Latin live performance heated up the stage and, later, guests grooved to the cool sounds of the Marshall Vente Orchestra. Festivities also included an educational presentation on the DodoNA Project: DNA Prediction to Improve Neurological Health, the gala’s beneficiary, which stresses the importance of cutting-edge research to improve neurological health. THE BOTTOM LINE The night was a success, raising more than $315,000 for The DodoNA Project to help prevent and cure disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, brain tumors and multiple sclerosis.
