Women Of Style 2020: Kristin Cavallari Is A Style Star

By J.P. Anderson | November 2, 2020 | People

Style is a state of mind and fashion a means of expression, which is all the more important in our rapidly changing world. We check in favorite past NS Women of Style for some words of wisdom.

Kristin Cavallari, Founder and CEO, Uncommon James

The biggest change in my life since I was featured is… everything! I have three kids and own my own lifestyle brand, Uncommon James. I live in Nashville and have grown up a lot.

The most amazing thing to happen since I became a Woman of Style was… having two more kids and really coming into my own both personally and professionally.

My big news is… happiness comes from within.

This year has taught me... to slow down and learn to let go of certain things.

I never expected that… this year would become what it has. But I believe everything happens for a reason and there are many lessons in all of this.

What I’m most passionate about right now is… teaching self-love.

The biggest surprise of the year has been… how much I’ve loved slowing down.

Since I was featured, my style has changed by… learning to stick to what works on my body and what I like. I’m all about simplicity—basics can go a long way—and elevating with accessories.

My favorite designers of the moment are… Marissa Webb, IRO, Mason, Isabel Marant and Alexandre Vauthier.

I am supporting my local community by... Uncommon James and Little James have partnered with Mother to Mother, a nonprofit helping mothers and children in need.

My hope for the future is… that my kids and my kids’ kids will have a healthy planet, and that there will be more love in the world.
