The Party
Igniting Curiosity, Inspiring Imagination was the theme of the Kohl Children’s Museum of Great Chicago’s annual gala. The evening started with a reception in the museum, with students from the Music Institute of Chicago providing the enchanting entertainment. After cocktails, the guests moved to an adjacent tent for a three-course meal. The fun evening continued with dancing to the live music of the Gold Coast Orchestra, and an auction, which included Justin Timberlake concert tickets and a Telluride vacation.
The People
The evening was presented by the McClung family of Winnetka and Chicago, and paid tribute to David Hiller, president and CEO of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. Museum President and CEO Sheridan Turner noted that the foundation’s commitment to fostering educated and engaged citizens coincided with the museum’s mission to encourage young children to be effective learners.
