Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens celebrated all things design with the opening night party for its reimagined 2017 Showhouse.
THE PARTY The Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago hosted the preview party for the 17th biennial Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens. Over 600 guests were treated to an exclusive firsthand look at this year’s Showhouse, an English country estate located in east Lake Forest, originally designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw and transformed by over 30 interior and landscape designers.
THE PEOPLE Mark D. Sikes, nationally renowned interior designer and author of Beautiful: All-American Decorating and Timeless Style, served as the event’s honorary chair. He was joined by local designers from the North Shore, Chicago and beyond.
THE PINNACLE Guests admired the revamped estate while enjoying a buffet dinner and drinks on the beautiful outdoor patio space designed by Mariani Landscape and Alessandra Branca. To date, the Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens has raised more than $4 million for the Angel Harvey Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Community Health Center.
