THE PARTY
More than 600 guests ascended upon M.K. and J.B. Pritzker’s 230-acre Evergreen farm in beautiful Bristol, Wis. The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and M.K. Pritzker hosted the sixth Evergreen Invitational in support of women’s health initiatives.
THE PEOPLE
Meredith Wood-Prince and Elizabeth A. Coleman co-chaired the invitation-only equestrian Grand Prix show, jumping competition and luncheon. Nationally ranked professional and amateur riders competed for a share of the lucrative purse. Guests sipped farm-to-table Bloody Marys and shopped at pop-up boutique tents, while fans of heavier horsepower test-drove Ferraris from Lake Forest Sportscars.
THE PINNACLE
The event generated $1.4 million in sponsorships and commitments for women’s health intiatives, bringing the total to more than $6 million since the biannual event began in 2007. This equestrian day has continually jumped the fences, and it seemed poised to keep galloping along for years to come. ‒Ben Rains
