Crafts for a Cause

| January 2, 2014 | Parties National

The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem at Evanston & Glenbrook Hospitals welcomed more than 1,000 guests to the 29th annual American Craft Exposition. Hosted at the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion in Evanston, the event showcased work from established and emerging artists and raised funds for NorthShore research.
More than 160 juried artists from around the country displayed their work, which included ceramics, furniture and fashion for the three-day event. Guests sipped cocktails and enjoyed appetizers from Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet.
For the ACE Runway show, volunteers from local ovarian cancer support groups walked the catwalk to show off the fashion, jewelry and accessories available for purchase at the expo. In total, more than $230,000 was raised to benefit NorthShore University HealthSystem at Evanston & Glenbrook Hospitals.
