In honor of its opening in Fulton Market District (its third Chicago studio) and the launch of a brand-new app, we get the down-and-dirty fitness scoop from three Studio Three insiders. From pumped-up tunes to self-care secrets, here’s how they’re kicking 2021 into high gear.

My secret to looking and feeling great is… my mental health. This includes making sure I take a ‘top to bottom’ approach when I’m thinking of my workout. … I make time for journaling, breathing, meditation, sweat and laughter each day.

When I’m in a workout slump, I mix things up by… trying a new instructor, and it doesn’t hurt to get yourself a new outfit. When you look good, you feel good too!

My fitness trick for rock-hard abs is… to eat a balanced diet, drink a lot of water and try a new core workout daily to keep it spicy.

To ramp up my motivation, I… find myself a workout buddy. Having someone hold you accountable is the best medicine for keeping up with your goals.


David Blitz Studio Three

After a long season of indulgences, I kick my tush back into gear by… reestablishing my routine. I’m at my best both professionally and personally when I stick to a regimented schedule.

When I only have 15 minutes, my go-to workout is… a quick cycle workout at home, with a high-energy playlist from our director of cycle, Sayre Masters.

My workout playlist is filled with… a lot of ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and remixes I’ve accumulated from our team.

My fitness trick for a sculpted bum is… cycling and running.


Laura Studio Three

My secret to looking and feeling great is… getting enough sleep. I am not one of those people who can operate on four to five hours of sleep.

2021 is the year of… acceptance. 2020 was the roller coaster ride that never ended. Although things are still not back to normal, I have been working on accepting things that I can’t control and enjoying what I can.

When working out at home, I… put my phone on silent, turn up the music and tuck my cat in the bedroom so I can get the most out of my workout.

It’s all about balance. I treat myself with… wine and sweets. I probably treat myself more than I should, but I love treats!
