Braving the Blizzard

Over 250 people ignored the snowy streets and sidewalks to pack downtown Winnetka’s newest restaurant, Taste on Chestnut, for its opening party in early February. Friends of owner and chef Steve Leviton, local media and food writers dined on all-star samples of the restaurant’s menu, including mini lobster club sandwiches, braised short rib over grits, salmon with grilled asparagus and one-bite desserts that were the perfect ending before guests bundled back up and faced the swirling snow. –Photos by Robin Subar
