A Benefit For Babies

| October 1, 2012 | Parties National

The Party More than 160 guests attended The Cradle’s seventh annual Night of Promise in ABT Electronics’ state-of-the-art demonstration kitchens in Glenview. The Scene While being serenaded by the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra Ensemble and perusing silent auction items, guests tasted offerings from 13 Chicagoland restaurants, including strawberry gazpacho with smoked crème fraîche by Abigail’s American Bistro, pan-seared sea scallops with bacon polenta by Glenview House, and sweet treats from DeEtta’s Bakery of Naperville. Festivities got heated when tickets to the Ryder Cup sparked a bidding war during the live auction. The Bottom Line The event, co-chaired by Cradle parents Amy Novicki and Robin Schachte, raised $54,000 for the nonprofit organization. Courtesy Photos
