THE PARTY
Two hundred North Shore and Chicago guests attended Ragdale’s seventh annual Novel Affair in Calvin Durand Hall at Lake Forest College to engage with acclaimed authors and artists from around the country.
THE SCENE
The two-day event included a cocktail reception on Friday and intimate dinners at several private homes on Saturday. Featured guests included choreographer Victor Alexander; composer Elbio Barilari; and authors Jane Hamilton, Lisa Genova, Ruth Ozeki and Benjamin Alire Sáenz.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
The Ragdale Foundation, a nonprofit artist residence that provides more than 150 artists and writers each year the space and time to pursue their work in an uninterrupted environment, benefited from $75,000 raised during the event.
